A Place For Home Videos
& People Who Make Them & Watch Them

For some 80 years, LACC has been a social club and workshop for people who are dedicated to the advancement and perfection in the art forms of filmmaking, video making and putting together color slide shows for the entertainment and education of their members and friends.

The group is very diverse; members bring knowledge and skills from a wide range of disciplines and experiences.   This diversity is not only enjoyable socially but can be a great stimulus to your creative urge.  But the best thing about being in a club is the group's mutual interest in videos and the enjoyment of screening them together.   Of course this means an appreciative audience for our work and that is what every videographer needs.

To motivate your creative urges the club has regular contests and projects for members to work on.  A deadline and a competitive challenge is a definite motivation to get a project off the ground or out of our minds and onto video.

Also there is the opportunity for members to exchange information and experiences, which makes the club an educational tool for all members from the most advanced to the newest novice.  Meetings provide demonstrations, discussions, classes and or workshops on all the various facets of video making.  For the novice we offer a way to learn how to start their work; and for the advanced members we offer a means to pick up new methods of working as well as reminding them of techniques they can use to modify current and future projects.  For all photographers we offer an appreciative audience for showing your work.

The club meets each month at 7:30 P.M. on the fourth Wednesday of each  month (except December) in the Social Hall of the Little White Chapel in Burbank.  The Hall is located on Jeffries St. between Hollywood Way and Avon Ave.  A parking lot is on the corner.  Click here for map.
